The Brief

To design a web site for a broadcasting degree show.

Processes Used

Heavy PHP coding and itegration with LDAP, XML, and MySQL technologies. As well as Quicktime Streaming Server technologies, Live Webcams and a live video and photo gallery.

Outcome

A huge and professional web site boasting the broadcasting degree show. With the PHP and LDAP, a Student Archive was created so that people could search the students involved. As well as having Live Streaming Content and Live Web cams.

Summary

Rave On Air 2005 is a broadcasting degree show at the Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication. FireStarter was asked to Head the development and creation of the website. The brief was to simply create a site that advertised the degree show and gave viewers a chance to view the content via Live Video Streaming and to promote the students involved through a student Archive. This was a huge project and had a lot of technologies involved with it. The outcome was a great web site that allowed the viewers to see the degree show's content and see the students who took part. The web site is now out of action due to the project restarting a-fresh headed by a new group of students.
